Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success May 16 – Mandatory Rest Day. Something about injury might have been better or more accurate, but real success was not physically possible.

Yesterday

Yesterday began – well, almost began – with the world spinning around so rapidly that I fell down. This was actually during my first “Heidi stretch” of the morning; a stretch in which I bend at the waist and work hard to keep my legs straight and weight entirely on the balls of my feet while relaxing my back muscles so that my fingers head toward my toes. Extreme vertigo arrived at about 70 or so of the 90 seconds the stretch lasts and the spinning floor was moving so rapidly that it was a blur. Balance gone, I sort of fell forward rolling onto my (surgically repaired) right shoulder.

The rest of the day was focused on getting the world to hold still and sleeping. Little got done beyond my stretches and a (very) few of my exercises. I did manage to walk to Giant to pick up some prescriptions, but that was a challenge.

Today

Today began with mild vertigo. It includes Dr. Swistak at 12:30. Beyond that, we shall see.

The Future

The future is extremely fuzzy. The vertigo is distracting; shoulder remains a (minor) problem; ribs are still sore; and my back is still a problem. Tim has the action to reach out to Vince while I must respond to Jon. No firm plans for travel to France as yet. Yup, fuzzy.
