Daily Success May 22 managed an “Okay.” That is only slightly disappointing because there was so much time devoted to family activities yesterday that getting much beyond Okay was extremely difficult.
Distance walked, outside or treadmill, takes time. I ran out of time at 5.1 kilometers. Other exercise was good. Today is off to a decent start but will face some challenges. And there is a heads-up on family demands for Thursday or Friday as Elijah needs all the assistance we can give him. That is even taking some time today as I’m working to put Jan’s document into an actionable form.
Tomorrow is going to be a challenge with three medical appointments: dentist, laser, and sciatica injections! That will take, realistically, more than two hours. At least everything (except for possible continuing laser and physical therapy for my shoulder) should be ready for my departure on July 6th.
Today is, however, a new day. Continued effort and discipline (I’ve been able to stay away from the Internet time-suck websites) are going to be critical to success.
Chores are more or less under control. The upstairs porch is a major activity with a trip to Lowes to get some eyebolts part of the effort as I want to remove the railings as part of the last piece of the cleanup and sealing work.
The fun part will be that the next “My Camino Day” post will be for August 5, 2021. For as much as I’ve loved (almost) every second I’ve spent on my Camino Journey, that day is still a high spot that I dearly love to relive. The “downside” of that is that I know that it is necessary for me to stay disciplined in the work and not just spend happy time looking at pictures and reliving events.
