Daily Success May 26 – Very Good. It could have been better, but fatigue was very real after a big day on the 25th.
Yesterday
Yesterday included one significant nap, but other than that was filled with activity. Much of the time was dedicated to Poli-Sci as I’ve been enjoying this course thus far. I’ve got the hang of the formats that are necessary and am being explicit about how I’m adapting to the specific assignments, e.g., brochure content. Hopefully, the prof will like my approach.
While Elaina’s cortisone injection seemed to have made an instantaneous and total difference in the pain that limits my walking on the afternoon she did it, the wonderful effects seem to be wearing off. The good news is that we have a diagnosis and a plan. The bad news is that there is still more work to do.
But my God! It felt so wonderful to be physically exhausted the last couple days. Yes, the distances were far less than the Camino requires, but I know how to fix that part of the problem.
Today
Today MUST include a real effort on the paperwork and bills. I’ve got to get emails out to the three painting contractors to ask the questions needed to compare apples to apples. Plus there are a lot of bills to pay and paper scattered around that needs to be cleaned up.
Other than that, some chores, exercise, physical therapy, and Poli-Sci.
The physical therapy is tiresome, but it is clearly helping me make great progress with my shoulder. Yes, kudos to Dr. Higgins, who did an outstanding surgical job. Kudos, too, to the Fates who decided my suffering on this one should be a bit less, especially with their decision to tie my fortunes to a medical practice that has made all the difference with medication and a rehab approach that gets one’s arm back in action almost immediately.
The Future
The future seems about the same as yesterday … hopeful on many fronts …
