Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statueDaily Success May 30 managed an “Outstanding” by reaching the lowest score required for that lovely rating. Why? Because, upon realizing that I was only a fraction of a kilometer short of it, I went back to the treadmill and did what was necessary to get across that finish line.

The scoring system, despite my tendency to game it, is doing its job.

The rain yesterday was minor, but enough to interfere with any outdoor activity. That left me to my exercises and the treadmill on one hand and the Camino website on the other. The result is that My Camino Day August 5 2021 is coming along quite nicely as I’ve got a number of really applicable and reasonably good videos from that day. Watching them and uploading them to my YouTube channel is both fun and easy.

I also am cleaning up my YouTube channel. This is not hard, just tedious. It includes standardizing the video titles around specific topics, “My Camino Day” consistency being the key one. That and including links back to the Camino website, adding some consistent language in the written part of the video’s background, and all that. It’s now in pretty good shape.

One of the videos I uploaded, a My Camino Day video, qualified as a YouTube Short. After one day, it’s my “number two” top views video, albeit with only 13 views, 5 “likes,” and no comments. It’s clear from that that I should make short videos with the phone vertical a priority.

This is not to imply that yesterday was free of distractions. There were a number of chores to clean up, then some very pleasant time working on a jigsaw puzzle with Jan in the evening. Add to that including listening to my Wondrium Spanish class for the umpteenth time while on the treadmill and a quick hike to find some red wine to go with dinner, and it was busy, indeed.

Today will, again, be very busy. I’ve got an appointment with Monika at 10:15, so no lingering over breakfast or sliding into an August 5 2021 rabbit hole is allowed before that is complete.
