Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success November 15 – Very Good.

Daily Success Yesterday

Success yesterday was solid: exercise and stretches, some Spanish, a lot of progress on Project Pinecone. A generous scoring would have touched the bottom rung of Outstanding, but it was not quite deserved. The very top of Very Good seems right. There was no magic in it, just good focus and a very long day. It will be tough to duplicate today.

Success Today

Success today requires no magic. Focus and hard work are all that is required. Getting a very late start, almost 10AM does not help. That was necessary, however, as last night was a very late one with exercise the justification for watching the Commanders game as it ran very late.

On the other hand, skipping Cliff’s kaffeeklatsch at the Empress is a good thing. Jeff seems to be running it this week, so saving the hour plus that attending it takes makes a lot of sense.

Success in the Future

Success in the future isn’t complicated.

Keep up with the Spanish reviews, yesterday was ok for time, but being exhausted limited how much was learned. Prioritize Spanish a bit more.

San Martín will require a lot of stamina, the warnings about exhaustion will apply fully here, and the only way that is available to build that stamina is exercise. Walking is good, but the key is total and that means the bike because of my left knee and because of time.

Project Pinecone is not going to succeed because we wish it so. “Wishin’ and hopin” don’t get the job done. Finish updating the CONOPS today and move on to the next one.

Focus! Dedication. Concentrate. Keep working even when the body and mind argue against it. That builds endurance, stamina, and character. All three are much needed these days.
