Daily Success November 19

Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statueDaily Success November 19 – Not Applicable. I dedicated the last five days to family activities. Jan and I traveled to Deadwood South Dakota as part of the process. The original plan was to support our son John as he was in some difficulties but that was resolved just after we purchased our airline tickets. Son Gary traveled to South Dakota as well, so instead of family solidarity, we had a family get-together minus daughter Jennifer. She would have been there too, had the word of the agreement easing John’s burden been delayed even an hour or two as she was about to buy her tickets as well.

I did zero work of any kind while we were there. While I had my computer along, I put no effort into anything. There was nothing that demanded my attention more than enjoying the time with the boys.

And I broke even at the blackjack table! I ain’t sayin’ I beat the Tin Lizzie, but I drank (one glass) of her whisky for nothin’. Sadly, she seemed to have no song for me to steal. [My deepest apologies to Kris Kristofferson]

Today

Today will be a bit short as I slept until after 10 AM. It was a great trip, but it left me exhausted.

The main things to do are some exercise, which allows me to watch the Washington Submissives (I’ll call ’em that until they show me a reason to change) play football, and cleaning up the paper that covers my desk.

The Future

Monika tomorrow. Is my back any better? Maybe just a tiny bit. I remain hopeful, but unconvinced.

American Pilgrims is working hard to fill slots at the gathering. I have to decide whether or not to sign up for hospitalero training soon. I think it’s likely and, more importantly, it’s probably the right thing for me at this point.
