Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statueDaily Success October 15 adds to my string of “Failed” success ratings. No exercise, save a walk to Giant to pick up a prescription. The bad news from that walk is that the left side of my back and even my left leg were extremely painful for most of it. After the happy results of October 13th, that is a heavy blow indeed.

It was more than bad enough to qualify for “Distance Injury” points in my scoring system. Had I been able to keep the Internet Monster at bay, I could have reached “Disappointing.” Some basic exercises would have brought me to “OK.” But I failed even those small achievements.

Worse is how I’m feeling this morning. The back / leg was bad enough to disturb my rest such that I rose from bed a bit earlier than I would have liked. It is painful most of the time and I’ve got a kinda / sorta numbness / tingling in the leg and foot. A trip to Lowes is a necessary part of the day today, but I’ll probably drive rather than attempt to walk the mile involved.

If I did not have the virtual visit with Kristin scheduled for Wednesday, I’d be planning to reach out to Pain, Spine, and Rehab for an appointment.
The rest of the day yesterday included getting back to doing needed household chores (good) and working to reduce the stress levels brought on by difficulties with a customer. Both of those are works in progress for today, but progress does seem to be being made.

Today’s goal is to score at least an “Ok” tomorrow!
