Daily Success October 23
Daily Success October 23 is “Outstanding”! And that score was earned on the exercise bike (unfortunately watching the Washington Submissives™ lose to the New York Lilliputians).
I’m now more disappointed in myself for not getting on the bike sooner. It’s been sitting there, patiently waiting for me to accept the (hopefully temporary) reality of very limited walking. Now that I’m finally on it again, it rewarded me with a wonderful calorie burn in a very reasonable length of time, much faster than a slow walk on the treadmill, even with a notable uphill setting.
Then a good evening Zoom with three guys from my college days and their wives.
I also made some progress on My Camino Day July 31. That might get finished today.
I even helped a bit with the SurveyorBot contract, probably a couple hours effort or a bit more, with a lengthy phone call with Joe followed by significant email traffic.
A well spent day.
Today
Today will be a bit tricky. A pest control company is supposed to by to give us an estimate this morning, so that limits my flexibility during the two-hour window selected. Then we have a slightly belated Barney’s Birthday celebration with friends at a local watering hole at 5:45.
The good news is that the bike should fit sufficient exercise in there pretty well. The bad news is that there will be zip on TV, and I haven’t figured out how to mount my iPad so that I can see it well for a Wondrium course. Or two.
Talk about a first world problem!
The Future
My approach to the future is on-hold pending what Monika has to say on Wednesday. She was positive about my situation over the weekend, but that’s without actually working on the problem. Kristin is optimistic, too.
I’m hopeful, but not optimistic. It’s been four days since my shots, but the issue is still clearly there. The pain hasn’t really been present, but I can feel it lurking, waiting to pounce if I’m not careful. And the tingling continues.
In addition to all the unknowns of my physical ability, or lack thereof, there is also the issue of professional commitments. I’ve made none at the moment, but fairness says that if Exploration Architecture can get its collective house in order, I should sign up to the work for both SurveyorBot and SAGEbot. Doing that will put tight limits on how much time I can set aside for el Camino de Santiago.
