Yesterday’s Daily Success October 23

Daily Success October 24 is “Outstanding” for the second time in a row. The calories on the bike are the key to this happening and a demonstration that I’ve got to accept reality and use the tools I have that can work rather than rail against the wind and demand that my back get better before it’s willing to.

I hate reality.

My Camino Day July 31 made it to “posted” status. That was huge, and allowed me to say “well, I won’t bother right now” to getting just a few more calories burned on the bike as I knew the “Outstanding” was baked in the cake.

Today’s Daily Success October 24

Today is more of the same, albeit handicapped by yesterday. Not only did posting My Camino Day July 31 take credit for quite a bit of work over several days, but it also used up the videos from that day that I’ve been uploading to my YouTube channel. That means starting over with July 30. I tend to get lost in that, looking at the videos and remembering the day.

An added problem (not really) for today is the celebration of my birthday (which happened last week) at Cinco last evening. It was a wonderful party and a grand time was had. But I ate too much, and I drank too much and I slept poorly as a result. This does not bode well for today’s productivity.

The Future’s Daily Success

Monika has delayed my physical therapy appointment until Friday because of a conflict. Not a huge deal, and possibly better for me as I’ll have more knowledge of how well the shots work, but a disappointment, nonetheless. I’m desperate to get my ability to stand for extended periods back and even more desperate to be able to walk modest distances, say 5 to 10 miles, back. Even a two-day delay stings.

I should note that, while the tingling and “rush to discomfort” are still there when I stand or walk, they do seem to have lessened, at least a little bit. That was true for the last set of shots as well, but this time I’ll not be doing any unfamiliar stretches and I have complete faith in Monika’s ability to make a positive difference if that is possible.
