Daily Success for an elderly peregrino is symbolized by this statue

Daily Success October 29 – Okay.

Daily Success Yesterday

Success yesterday was a near-run thing. The phantom pain in my shoulder / arm returned with a vengeance after my appointment with Dr. Swistak and cut my productivity way down for at least a couple of hours. I was tired, too, and ended up taking a nap for more lost time. On the bright side, when I lay down on my back with my head on the pillow, the phantom pain went away.

Importantly, yesterday’s score was the result of making good on my plan to exercise after dinner while watching Monday Night Football. And then making good on my promise to myself by doing a full Spanish lesson after exercising. Most of the day was focused on Project Pinecone, so that was a solid accomplishment as well.

Success Today

Success today is about focus, focus on Project Pinecone, exercise, Spanish. Keeping my promise to myself. There are no real obstacles in the way, save an hour with Larry. That’s no excuse.

And, of course, a short night’s sleep. The late work that led to an Okay yesterday also led to turning out the light after midnight. To conclude the pity-party, the phantom pain is back, albeit at a relatively low level so far.

Success in the Future

Success in the future is San Martín for the Camino and Project Pinecone for those who are endangered by the explosive devices that armies leave behind when the shooting moves on. The more I work on it, the more the sheer scale of what we are attempting becomes clear.
