Daily Success September 12 – Outstanding.
Daily Success Yesterday
Daily success yesterday included a much longer than planned bike session, which was the foundation for the Outstanding score, a result that was driven over the top by a late trip to Giant to pick up a prescription. In addition, there was planning for hospitalero training, some work on Project Pinecone, and a good session with Larry—except that he said I looked “frail.” I don’t feel frail. His concern was probably due to my description of the trip home from France and my travails in the Newark Airport, all of which would imply frail, but it stung. My exercise routine and emphasis on controlling my eating is designed to make me “robust,” not “frail.”
More effort on keeping the whiskey monster at bay is needed, I guess. But whiskey does make for a very pleasant wind-down for the day and so did last night as we sat in the back yard watching for airplanes; there was a burst of them overhead, even three or four visible at the same time at one or two points.
I also put my pill packages together for the next weeks. It had to be done before leaving as I didn’t have a full enough box to meet the trip’s minor needs. That’s now all under control. Ditto for printing instructions and addresses. My backpack is in the bedroom with some clothes already on top of it. And two other attendees – Connie Kreiss and Martha Hoffman – and I have a tentative dinner date planned for Sunday evening.
Daily Success Today
Daily success today remains dependent on focus. The good news is that most of the planning for hospitalero training is done, just need to pack and I’ve started that. And packing should be simple as “pack” means “just my backpack” as it’s only four days – three nights in this case. I’m hoping there will be enough room for my yoga mat as Prairiewoods does not have an exercise facility. Some exercise is better than none.
Daily Success in the Future
Daily success in the future is hospitalero training this weekend. After that, it’s my SI Joint and Project Pinecone in that order for the next month or so. Serous work on seniorpilgrimage.com and YouTube will have to slip a bit. That is worrisome as they’ve been slipping for quite some time.
Focus, focus, focus …
