Daily Success September 23 – Okay.
Daily Success Yesterday
Daily success yesterday was handicapped by a lot of work on Project Pinecone, something that is absolutely necessary. It must continue. Daily Success will be limited.
Exercise was good and there was a tiny Camino effort in an email to Priscilla explaining that I’m comfortable with my health and endurance for serving at San Martín today because of good progress on medical issues. At the same time, I’m almost 79 and the hours and miles on my body make it less reliable for the summer of 2025 than would be the case were I 19 or 29 or 39 or …
Success Today
Success today revolves around Project Pinecone. Lutz appears to be favorable. Joe K. is on board. We have a chance.
And good news: an early email this morning, a five-hour time difference, inviting me to request a specific slot to serve as an hospitalero at San Martín next year, April through October. Seven months. Now all that remains is to guess which fortnight will least interfere with Project Pinecone.
From there, little is clear. I will not fault her if she declines to accept me. I’m not sure I would make me an hospitalero were I to assume her responsibilities. Time will tell.
Exercise today will be this evening, during the football game. The day must be dedicated to Project Pinecone. Pretty much the whole day.
Success in the Future
Success in the future needs success getting the Interim Project Plan together this week. Progress is slower than I’d like, but faster than might be expected.
Will my hospitalero training result in an opportunity to serve others as a way of paying forward what those who came before me did for me? I hope so. If Priscilla says “no,” I’ll apply through the Federation, but will also be honest that the Confraternity of Saint James turned me down because of age and its effects on my body.
We shall see.
