Daily Success September 25 – Failed.
Daily Success Yesterday
Daily success yesterday can only be scored as Failed. The day was constantly busy with many things pulling me away from Camino work and Project Pinecone. My efforts to justify a Disappointing score in my mind worked until late evening when a bit more whiskey at the end of a very busy day was just too attractive to ignore.
How was a Disappointing score to be justified? Only because I pressed forward on volunteering as an hospitalero at San Martín and truly worked the question from inside and out. The factors in the decision that must be made, and soon, are quite clear. It’s now up to me to tell myself the truth and convince myself that I have done so. Which of the two is harder?
A little Project Pinecone work got done yesterday, but far less than needed. A little Camino work, although it’s not work, got done too, in the form of a detailed and candid email exchange with Priscilla combined with a heart-to-heart chat with Larry about it.
Then there was getting ready for poker and playing …
Success Today
Success today will, again, be challenging. The day begins with a follow up appointment with Kristin. This afternoon has an appointment for two types of images of my back to help Dr. Levine decide what is best for me.
Beyond dealing with back pain, the focus must remain on Project Pinecone. That is true today, tomorrow, next month, and next year. Rome was not built in a day nor was it created with half-hearted efforts.
And, of course, the Camino. Will there be a few minutes to relax by editing a video for my YouTube channel? For writing a fun My Camino Day story? Probably not, but an elderly peregrino can dream.
Success in the Future
Success in the future is, and must be, Project Pinecone as the top priority. Focus and dedication are the only tools in my drawer for finding time for anything else.
